This PhD at Loughborough University explores how digital health, artificial intelligence and immersive technologies are changing fertility care. Rather than focusing solely on technology, the research examines how innovation is evaluated, understood and introduced into everyday clinical practice.

The work considers the organisational, ethical and human factors that influence successful implementation, with the aim of supporting innovation that strengthens clinical judgement, professional expertise and patient trust.

Current Study

Understanding stakeholders' perceptions of immersive virtual reality in fertility care

The first phase of the research explores how different stakeholders perceive the potential role of immersive virtual reality within fertility care. Using interviews and focus groups, the study seeks to understand the opportunities, challenges and practical considerations surrounding the introduction of immersive technologies into everyday fertility practice.
